D.W. Rutledge named President of MyCoachingTree.com

AUSTIN, TX, October 18, 2019 – MyCoachingTree.com™ announced today the appointment of Texas coaching legend D.W. Rutledge as it’s President. MyCoachingTree.com will launch its new service in 2020 for coaches to create their own Coaching Tree to help them stay in touch with their network and better understand their Coaching Ancestry™.

Rutledge has been engaged with the company as a consultant since his retirement from the Texas High School Coaches Association in December of 2018. In his new position as President he will expand his influence over the company’s vision and the way service is delivered. He is one of the most successful coaches in Texas high school football history, winning four state championships in the state's highest classification. His own extensive coaching tree spans his 44-year career during which he coached or mentored some of the most successful coaches today.

“Anyone that knows me knows how passionate I am about protecting the coaching profession – especially Texas high school coaches”, said Rutledge. “This company began as a project to give coaches a tool to keep track of their personal network. But as I became more involved in the design of the service, I saw more and more opportunity for this to preserve the history of coaching in a very unique way. This can help coaches see exactly how we’re all connected in this profession – past, present and future.”

Rutledge will take the reigns as the company launches its service starting with high school and middle school coaches in Texas. The company will announce the official release date in January.
